Counselling and psychotherapy for individuals.

I am a fully qualified counsellor & registered member of BACP (UK).
Finding a counsellor can be a daunting task and making the first step is not easy. But you’re here and that’s a good enough first step. When we feel overwhelmed with difficulties and life challenges, speaking to someone outside our immediate friends and family circle can be really helpful.
Does any of this apply to you:
- finding it difficult to get on top of things and feeling ‘I should be doing better’?
- having an underlying sense of ‘something is wrong with me’?
- seeing no solution to existing problems?
- or perhaps having an idea what the solution looks like, but feeling unable to move in that direction?
- doubting yourself and lacking confidence?
- feeling that significant others often don’t really understand you?
When we feel like this, we can be going through a stressful period or a major life change.
Deflated, dissatisfied, sometimes depressed, we tell ourselves we should be doing better. Our anxiety is on the rise and we end up procrastinating or avoiding the problems.
This can happen at any point in life. Whether it’s due to a loss, break up, illness or something difficult to pinpoint, life challenges can make us face a new personal crisis at any time.
What difference can counselling make? It can:
- help you cope with the overwhelming feelings and make sense of them
- help you [re]gain inner stability and balance
- help you stop going in circles and get unstuck
- give you ‘permission’ to be you and take care of yourself without feeling guilty
- improve your relationships
- most importantly therapy can help you improve your relationship with yourself.
